Rahul Dev says he did Bigg Boss 10 as he had no work

Rahul Dev has opened up about doing Bigg Boss 10. The actor said he did the show due to lack of work.

Bollywood actor Rahul Dev has been through ups and downs in his career. The actor lost his wife Rina Dev in 2009 and later, he took a break from films to single-handedly raise their son. Rahul was away from the world of showbiz for nearly four-and-a-half years. And he had to face several challenges to make his way back into the film industry. In a new interview, Rahul went down memory lane and revealed he did Bigg Boss 10 because he had 'no work'.

In an interview with Connect FM Canada, Rahul said despite doing a lot of work in films, he had to participate in Bigg Boss 10. "Aur phir aap sochiye, itna kaam karne ke baad bhi Bigg Boss [Despite having done all the work that I have, I had to do Bigg Boss]. I was a participant in Bigg Boss 10 because there was just no work for me. I won’t blame anyone for it, because in our line, markets change pretty fast. And four-and-a-half years is a long time."

However, Rahul now feels a sense of belonging and he has a lot of people to credit for the same. The actor further spoke about being single-parent after his wife's unfortunate demise.

Talking about single-parenthood, Rahul Dev said parenting is not easy at all. He feels women have a big hand in raising children. "Women have a big hand in raising children, the way they understand children, probably because it comes out of them. The kind of patience they have for children, I tried a lot, but there were times when I would lose my cool, my frame of mind. I had to try to be both mom and dad," he added.
