Punjab private schools can't hike fee this year: CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann has ordered that for the upcoming academic year, private schools will not be allowed to hike school fees.
On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, made two major announcements. In the order, the Punjab government stated that the private schools in the state will not increase the admission fee for the upcoming academic year.
Further, the CM has also ordered that no school will force parents to buy books, stationery, uniforms, etc., for a particular shop. Parents will be allowed to buy school essentials as per their own convenience. The move is aimed at breaking the monopoly in the “education business”.
