Pune woman lets delivery agent keep her birthday cake after mix-up

A Pune-based woman recounted how a birthday cake ordered by her friends was mistakenly delivered to a different city, resulting in an unexpected moment of kindness.
A woman’s birthday cake ended up with a delivery executive in another city after a mix-up, as she shared the experience in a now-viral post on X.
Deepshikha, a Pune-based marketing professional, shared how her friends had planned to surprise her with a cake while she was in her hometown celebrating her birthday. During a call, her friends decided to place an order through a food delivery app.
While services like Swiggy and Zomato operate in her hometown, she said that quick-commerce platforms such as Instamart, Zepto and Blinkit are not available there. Deliveries are handled directly by restaurants, and, she added, location pins can be “very questionable."
Soon after placing the order, the delivery executive called her friend to ask for the exact location. That is when they opened the app to cross-check the address, only to realise something was off.
“We’re all like, wait. Where is this location? That is not where I live,” she said, describing how the group spent nearly 15 minutes comparing screenshots and laughing at their own mistake.
The delivery executive was then given her number. As he tried to explain the surroundings, she still did not recognise the area. Finally, she asked him which city he was in.

The profiles of at least three of China's leading nuclear, missile and radar experts were scrubbed from the website of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the country's most prestigious academic body. This comes as a series of purges under Premier Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign have decimated the upper echelons of China's military and scientific community.

The aircraft had also been used by senior Iranian officials and military figures for both domestic and international travel, and for coordinating with allied countries, the Israeli military said. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport has resumed flight operations after a temporary suspension of about seven hours caused by a drone strike near a fuel tank facility.

When we look at Iran through the prism of religion and see a Shia Islamic country, we negate its thousands of years of rich pre-Islamic Persian culture. A dive into the world of Zoroastrianism and Vedas shows us how Indians and Iranians have been sharing languages, Gods, sciences and a sacred fire for thousands of years.
