In the caption of her post, Priyanka Gandhi wrote the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra in Hindi. Also known as the Rudra Mantra or Tryambakam Mantra, the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is a verse of the Rigveda. The sukta is addressed to Tryambaka, 'The Three-eyed One', an epithet of Rudra who is identified with Lord Shiva. "Wishing all the citizens of the country on the occasion of Mahashivratri. May Lord Shiva bless you all," Priyanka Gandhi said in her post in Hindi.
