Pregnant woman immolated by mother-in-law over love marriage in Telangana; suffers injuries, miscarriage

A four-month pregnant woman was immolated by her mother-in-law in the Kamareddy district of Telangana on July 17. The victim has sustained 50 per cent burn injury and a miscarriage.
A four-month pregnant woman was immolated by her mother-in-law in the Nizamasagar Mandal of Kamareddy district in Telangana on July 17. A woman, identified as A.Kurati, immolated her daughter-in-law over a love marriage with her son by pouring petrol on her.
The victim suffered a 50 per cent burn injury and miscarriage after being burnt by her mother-in-law. She's currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
A case has been registered against the victim's husband and mother-in-law. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
Further investigation is underway.
