Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
An engagement ceremony in Maharashtra's Dhule district turned into a mourning and a bloody affair, leaving three dead, and three injured as two groups clashed.
The incident took place in Neelkanth Nagar of Pimpalner taluka in Dhule. Preliminary investigation suggests that the clash erupted over a dispute regarding the printing of names on the wedding invitation card.
Amid preparations for the engagement and haldi rituals, an argument broke out between two groups, during which three people were attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
Family members of the deceased alleged that Devendra Dnyaneshwar Pawar, Suresh Mojgir Gosavi, and Sahil Suresh Gosavi were attacked with sharp weapons. All three succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Meanwhile, Pankaj Ashok Gir, Suresh Supadugir, and Sagar Gosavi were injured and admitted to the village primary health centre for treatment, with one critically injured person later referred to the district hospital.
Relatives of the deceased have alleged that the attack was carried out deliberately.
