The makers of the upcoming film Fauji are reportedly planning to release the Prabhas-starrer during the Dasara festival 2026, with production moving forward on a continuous schedule.
Baahubali star Prabhas’s upcoming film Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is gearing up for a theatrical release around the Dasara festival this year. While the makers have not announced an exact release date yet, it is being reported that they have confirmed the film will arrive during the festive period. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series’ Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, the film also marks Imanvi’s debut in Telugu cinema.
The Dasara window has raised expectations among fans, as the festive season is traditionally considered prime time for big-ticket releases. Although Dasara falls on October 20 this year, the team has clarified that they are yet to lock a specific date, stating only that Fauzi will hit theatres during the festival. The move appears aimed at capitalising on the extended holiday period.
Prabhas will be seen in a role that is said to be markedly different from his recent outings. Set against a military backdrop, the film is expected to showcase the actor in a new avatar. According to the makers, Prabhas will sport a completely different look compared to his earlier films, adding to the curiosity surrounding the project.
Fauzi is also said to feature strong period elements, giving the narrative an added layer of scale and texture. The film boasts a seasoned supporting cast that includes Mithun Chakraborty, Jayaprada, Anupam Kher, Bhanu Chander and Rahul Ravindran.
The production team has also revealed details about their filming strategy. They plan to shoot the film continuously until completion, with an uninterrupted schedule, in an effort to stay on track for the targeted Dasara release window.
