
Pondicherry University secures ANRF-PAIR grant as Spoke Institute

Pondicherry University selected as Spoke Institute under ANRF-PAIR program, enhancing research capabilities through collaboration with top institutions.
Pondicherry University has been selected as Spoke Institute under the prestigious ANRF-PAIR (Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research) programme, an initiative of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), in a major boost to its research capabilities.
The research cluster is led by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore which serves as the hub institution.
According to an official release, as a category-I spoke institute under PAIR scheme, Pondicherry University will work closely and partner with IISc, Bangalore and other spoke institutes, such as Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, NIT Nagaland, Calicut University, Bangalore University and Kumaun University.
ANRF called for the PAIR proposal in January and it was shortlisted after rigorous scrutiny. The PAIR network grant provides an avenue for access to advanced research facilities, knowledge exchange between the hub and the other spoke institutes.
