Police personnel, others take part in marathons in Belagavi, Vijayapura

Police and community members participated in marathons promoting health, a drug-free Karnataka, and pride in local law enforcement.
Police personnel across the State participated in marathons organised in various towns and cities on Sunday.
The marathons were organised to give three messages to society: Health for all, Drug-free Karnataka and Our Police, Our Pride.
A large number of youth, college students and civic society members also participated.
In Belagavi, Sub-Inspector of Police (Reserve) Sangamesh Ani, who is a winner of BERGMAN-102 Endurance Competition, flagged off the marathon at the District Parade Grounds at day-break.
A large number of officers and personnel participated in the 5 km and 10 km runs.
Officers and staff from the city police, District Police, KSRP Machche, PTS Kangrali, SDRF and public participated in the marathon.
