Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt was spotted with a 27-year-old German model, Gloria-Sophie Burkandt, in Davos recently. As per reports, Schmidt may be in a situationship with Burkandt, though he remains in an 'open marriage' with Wendy Schmidt.
During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, we saw several influential people. From dignitaries to heads of big companies, all making their way to discuss and sign important agreements. But former Google CEO Eric Schmidt may have made waves for different reasons – a potential situationship with a model who is less than half his age.
YouTube channel Rebel News spotted Eric Schmidt with a mystery woman during the forum in Davos. While Schmidt avoids answering questions in the video, the woman can be seen walking alongside him. Later, German publication, the Bild stated that she is Gloria-Sophie Burkandt, a 27-year-old German model. The former Google CEO is 70 years old.
As per the report, Eric and Gloria have been spending time with one another for the past few weeks, including the new year. However, the two are not said to be in a relationship, and are likely calling themselves “close friends.” Perhaps, the former Google CEO is joining the modern trend of “situationships.”
The two reportedly met at Harvard University in November 2025. It is also believed that Schmidt and Gloria may meet on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 13 to February 15, 2026.
Do keep in mind that Eric Schmidt remains married to Wendy Schmidt. The two tied the knot in 1980 and are said to be in an “open marriage” for years.
Gloria-Sophie Burkandt is the eldest daughter of Markus Soder, the Minister-President of Bavaria, Germany. Soder also leads the CSU party in the country.
