Rapido reports over 1.5 lakh metro-linked rides daily, and over a million rides per day in Hyderabad
Ride-hailing platform Rapido on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) stated that the company clocked more than 1.5 lakh rides linked to Metro Stations.
In a press release, Rapido stated that Hyderabad each day witnesses more than a million rides per day, and that it positions them as one of the most active digital layers supporting Hyderabad’s public transport network.
Interpreting trends, the company opined that commuters do not have to switch platforms so as to navigate multi-modal commutes, and that in-app ticketing combined with every day ride availability has been making metro-linked travel more habitual.
“Daily usage trends reinforce this shift. Nearly half of all Rapido rides in Hyderabad take place during peak office and college hours, underscoring the platform’s growing role as everyday commute infrastructure rather than occasional transport,” the statement reads.
Pavan Guntupalli, co-founder, Rapido, said, “Urban mobility works best when it is seamless. In Hyderabad, we are seeing commuters actively combine metro travel with Rapido bikes and autos to make their daily journeys faster and more predictable. Our focus is to simplify multi-modal travel through a single platform, so that public transport becomes the default choice for everyday commuting.”
