With schools closed for months due to Covid-19, the only graduate in a Coimbatore village turned into a teacher for the children residing there.
"When I was a child, I had no one to help me study. These children here have me to help them study." With schools closed in the tribal village of Chinnampathy in Coimbatore due to Covid-19, Sandhya, the first graduate of the village, has taken it upon herself to ensure the children have access to education. Chinnampathy is a remote village that has no network and mobile or laptop facilities. Families have had no chance to provide their children with education during this pandemic and that is when Sandhya volunteered to teach the children in the village.
