India Today
OnePlus has joined the ever-growing list of smartphone manufacturers who have extended the warranty on their products during the Covid-19 lockdown. The company said that the new extension would apply across the entire product line in an announcement post, though this is only for products whose expiry date was between April 1 and June 29, 2021.
OnePlus India has announced a warranty extension on all products to June 30, 2021. The company has clarified that the warranty extension is applicable for all products whose expiry is between April 2 to June 29, 2021. The announcement comes at a time when the country is fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. This should help OnePlus users who were facing some issue with their products but couldn't visit the service centre despite being under warranty due to the lockdown restrictions. "To meet some of our customers' most urgent needs, we have developed the following plan for users in India: To continue providing uninterrupted support during this period, we have extended the warranty for all our products to June 30, 2021, for those with an expiry date between April 1 and June 29 2021," the company said on its OnePlus Community forum. OnePlus also acknowledged the delay in online deliveries due to lockdown restrictions in some locations. "Due to the recent developments beyond our control, there will be a delay in delivery for recent product orders to certain locations, and we are unable to fulfil the order, at present. Unfortunately, we may not be able to predict the delivery of your order, however we will ship the order as soon as possible from our end once restrictions ease," the company added in its forum post.More Related News
