On Amazon, plastic bucket goes for Rs 25,999 and bathroom mugs cost Rs 10,000 after discount

A seller on Amazon is found selling a plastic bathroom bucket for Rs 25,999 after a 55 per cent discount. Not just this, another seller on the online retail platform has listed two plastic mugs for around Rs 10,000. This, of course, is some sort of error on the seller's part or maybe a way to trick buyers and mint money. We have reached out to the e-commerce giant for a comment and will update the space once they share an official statement.
Even though this seems more like a glitch, Twitter users are sharing screenshots of these expensive plastic mugs and a bucket and trolling Amazon. However, this is not entirely the company's fault, since the seller is the one that lists products, its details including the price. Similar is the case with these "super expensive" buckets and bathroom mugs.
Even if the fault is primarily of the seller, Twitter trolls are attacking Amazon for the goof up.
What’s funny is that the website shows the original price of the plastic mug as Rs 22,080 and that the 55 per cent discount drops the price to Rs 9,914. See the screenshot below for reference.
Similarly, the plastic bucket, as per the website, is originally priced at Rs 35,990. The website shows that after the 28 per cent discount, the price of the bucket drops to Rs 25,999.
At the time of writing the article, the "expensive" bucket was listed as "currently available". And the price has also been removed by the seller.
Well, this isn’t the first time that something like this has happened. Previously, there have been several instances wherein an e-commerce platform listed some items for an exorbitant price.
