Noise, boAt and Fire-Boltt rank top in total wearables shipment in India, says IDC report
India Today
The wearables market saw a record surge in shipments in the months of July to September in India. Interestingly, most of these shipments were accounted for by Indian companies, with the top players grabbing as high as two-thirds of the smartwatch market.
Smart wearables seem to be in demand in India as the wearable market in the country recorded an increase by 93.8 per cent year-over-year (YoY) in the previous quarter. Highlighting the growth, a new report mentions that a total of 23.8 million wearables units were shipped in India from July to September this year.
The data comes from the International Data Corporation (IDC) in its new India Monthly Wearable Device Tracker report. The report mentions that the wearables market saw record shipments even in the midst of logistic challenges and an increase in cost of transportation, much thanks to the month-long festival sales.
