The Medical Counselling Committee restarted the third round of NEET postgraduate counselling. Fresh registrations and additional seats were allowed, giving candidates another chance.
NEET PG Round 3 counselling resumed after being put on hold, offering fresh opportunities to eligible medical graduates.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), allowed new registrations and added more seats for candidates competing for postgraduate medical courses for the 2025 academic year.
The counselling process covers 50 per cent All India Quota seats, along with 100 per cent seats of deemed universities, central universities and Armed Forces Medical Services institutions.
The Directorate General of Health Services India wrote on X, “NEET PG Round 3 Counselling has resumed with facility for new registrations and additional seats added, providing more opportunities for eligible candidates. Candidates are advised to participate and exercise their choices accordingly.”
This resumption followed uncertainty after Round 3 choice locking was temporarily suspended.
MCC had paused the process to review seat availability and comply with ongoing legal proceedings. The revised schedule has now been released, bringing clarity for thousands of aspirants waiting for postgraduate admissions.
