The woman who accused Rajasthan minister Mahesh Joshi's son of rape, claimed that she and her family were under threat.
The 23-year-old woman, who accused Rajasthan minister Mahesh Joshi's son of rape, has claimed that there is a threat to her and her family's life from the father-son duo.
The woman, who had worked as an anchor on a news channel, alleged that she was taken to Sawai Madhopur where her drink was spiked and that she was raped on several occasions by Rohit Joshi.
While speaking with India Today on the phone, Mahesh Joshi claimed that he was not in Jaipur and will return on Monday. Accused Rohit refused to speak on camera though he admitted that he was in Jaipur. Both claimed that they got to know about the case through social media.
When India Today asked Rajasthan minister, Pramod Jain Bhaya, about the rape case, he said, "Allegations and counter allegations keep happening in politics."
An FIR has been filed in Delhi against Rohit under various IPC sections including 376, 312, 328, 366, 377, 506, 509.
Senior police officers said the Rajasthan police have been informed of the case and that they would carry out further investigations.
