Hyderabad's Musi Riverfront project includes a 200-acre Gandhi Sarovar and the East-West corridor to enhance urban connectivity.
The East-West corridor proposed as part of the Musi Riverfront Development Project, will be a combination of at-grade and elevated corridors, punctuated by trumpet interchanges at every major junction. Its construction and operations will be in Build-Operate-Transfer mode modelled after the Outer Ring Road, which involves toll collection for road use.

The details were shared though a presentation on Friday (March 13, 2026) by the Managing Director of the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation E.V. Narasimha Reddy at a high profile event with presence of the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended by investors, consultants, architects, heritage conservationists, environmental NGOs and others where entry was restricted by invitation.
As per the details, during Phase-I, a 30-metre (100 feet) corridor will be developed at grade from Gandipet to Gandhi Sarovar on one stretch and from Budwel to Gandhi Sarovar on another. The remaining stretch from Gandhi Sarovar up to Gowrelly, will be an elevated corridor, with exits planned at major junctions such as Attapur, Puranapul, Nayapul, Chaderghat, Nagole and others. The East-West corridor will reduce travel time by half, and relieve the city from traffic chaos, Mr.Narasimha Reddy said.
