Six years after a four-year-old boy disappeared from his village in Rajasthan’s Dausa district, police now believe he was murdered by his own uncle and aunt and buried near the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, a claim that has triggered a massive excavation to recover his remains.
The child, Prince, vanished in April 2020. Investigators now suspect he was killed the very day he went missing, allegedly by his paternal uncle Anil and aunt Krishna, over a family feud.
In a chilling detail, family members say the accused lived alongside them for six years after the disappearance and even joined searches for the child, deflecting suspicion.
Investigators believe the boy’s body was kept hidden for two days after the murder before being buried in dumped soil at the expressway construction site under cover of darkness.
The location was later sealed by roadworks, allowing the crime to remain concealed for years.
Based on their alleged disclosures, authorities have been digging for two days at a site along the expressway here the body is believed to have been buried during highway construction.
