The re-exam will now be conducted on March 1, 2026, offering relief to candidates who were unable to appear earlier due to unavoidable circumstances.
The decision applies specifically to candidates allotted centres in Vaishali (Hajipur), Bihar.
The CTET examination scheduled for February 7–8, 2026, was cancelled at two centres in Vaishali (Hajipur) due to what officials described as "unavoidable circumstances."

Following the cancellation, CBSE reviewed the matter and decided to conduct a re-examination exclusively for candidates assigned to these centres.
