The minimum eligibility marks criteria for the Karnataka CET have been dropped and the exam will be conducted from August 28 to 30.
The minimum eligibility marks which were set as a criterion for writing the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) have been relaxed for the current academic year, said Deputy Chief Minister and Higher education minister, Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana. Apart from the change in the minimum eligibility criteria marks, the department of higher education is mulling considering CET marks as the common basis for admission into all science-based courses for the academic year 2021-2021. If CET performance is made as to the common basis for admission into all the science-based courses, some of the courses may need certain relaxations and these will have to be decided depending on the nature of the courses, Narayana informed.
