Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has hinted at a major overhaul for Windows that will bring economic opportunities to developers and creators.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella initiated the Microsoft Build 2021 developers conference with a keynote address. In his speech, Nadella mentioned a host of updates that the tech major will be bringing soon across its products and services. A small mention therein was made for Microsoft Windows. Nadella did not share any updates on Windows as such. Instead, he spoke of the company’s plans for the world-renowned operating system for the time to come. He mentioned that he has been testing “the next generation of Windows” in recent months and that the company will be bringing a significant update to Windows very soon. As per Nadella, this important update will unlock “greater economic opportunity for developers and creators.” He promised that Microsoft’s ongoing work on Windows would create more opportunity for Windows developers and creators looking to build and distribute and monetize applications.
Reddit is exploring biometric verification methods such as Face ID and Touch ID to ensure users are real humans, not bots, while pledging to maintain the platform's tradition of anonymity. CEO Steve Huffman said the company is planning to address the rising influence of AI-generated content and protect authentic user engagement.
