Married Farhan Akhtar to be your sis-in-law, Shibani Dandekar tells Farah Khan

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar got hitched on February 19 in an intimate ceremony in Khandala. Love, one would say, brought them together. That may be true, but Shibani Dandekar had a whole other reason to marry Farhan Akhtar. And it has everything to do with choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan. Yup, you read that right. Shibani herself admitted it.

So, Farah Khan took to her Instagram stories to share a photograph of Shibani and her from her wedding day. Dressed in that glorious red corset gown, Shibani made for a raving bride in the photo. Right next to her, in green, Farah posed happily. Farah and Shibani certainly make one helluva sisters-in-law jodi.

Sharing the photo, Farah wrote, "sis in law Shibani Dandekar #womeninlove (sic)." Shibani's response to the post, however, stole the show. She wrote, "Love you sooooo much! Married Farhan just to be your sister in law (sic)."

For those living under a rock, Farhan Akhtar and Farah Khan are cousins. Farah was born to stuntman-turned-filmmaker Kamran Khan and Menaka Irani. Maneka is Honey Irani and Daisy Irani's sister. That makes Farah and Farhan (born to Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar) first cousins. Farah has a brother, comedian-turned-filmmaker, Sajid Khan, while Farhan has a sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar got married in Khandala on February 19. Since then, the newlyweds as well as the celebrity guests at their wedding have been sharing unseen photographs from the intimate vow-exchange ceremony. Farah, too, had posted a fun memory from Farhan and Shibani’s wedding featuring Zoya. Sharing the selfie, Farah wrote, "Aaj hamare bhai @faroutakhtar ki shaadi hain @zoieakhtar #sisterselfie #khandala (sic)."
