Delhi-NCR woke up to the day of love on Saturday to the grisly murder of a couple whose bodies were found inside a parked car in Noida. The bodies of Sumit and Rekha, both in their early 20s, were found with gunshot wounds in a Tata Altroz near Noida Sector 39. While police are yet to piece together what transpired in the final moments before their deaths, preliminary probe has indicated it to be linked to a love affair gone wrong.
Police said a pistol was found in the hand of Sumit, who was found dead in the driver's seat of the car. Sources said the initial investigation suggested that Sumit first shot Rekha before turning the pistol on himself. Cartridges were also found in the car.
While Rekha was a resident of Noida Sector 58, Sumit lived in Delhi's Trilokpuri. Both were missing from their homes since Friday. Their families had filed missing persons report, police said.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
