
Leaked memo reveals Facebook is prone to spread misinformation by design

In public Facebook often says hints that takes against misinformation and hate speech whenever it finds the evidence of it on its website. But leaked internal documents reveal that Facebook employees are not only aware of misinformation on the website but also know why situation can't be improved.
In one of the documents shared by former Facebook employee and whistleblower Frances Haugen, the social media giant has admitted that the design of its products is a major reason why hate speech and misinformation flourish on the platform. Haugen's legal counsel on Monday shared internal documents with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US Financial watchdog. This was disclosed by a report in the New York Times.

Reddit is exploring biometric verification methods such as Face ID and Touch ID to ensure users are real humans, not bots, while pledging to maintain the platform's tradition of anonymity. CEO Steve Huffman said the company is planning to address the rising influence of AI-generated content and protect authentic user engagement.

In a push towards more inclusive school environments, the Central Board of Secondary Education has rolled out fresh directives on menstrual hygiene across its affiliated institutions. The move comes after a landmark ruling by the Supreme Court of India that places menstrual health within the framework of fundamental rights.
