Leaders from across party lines mourn death of jawan Murali Naik in Pakistan drone attack. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy say the supreme sacrifice of the soldier in the line of duty will never be forgotten by the nation. His last rites will be performed with full state honours, says Lokesh.
Leaders from across party lines condoled the death of Army jawan Murali Naik in the line of duty during Operation Sindoor.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said in a post on X on Friday that he was saddened to hear the demise of Murali Naik, who hails from Gorantla mandal of Penukonda Assembly constituency in Sri Sathya Sai district.
“He lost his life in the defence of the country. Tributes to martyr Murali Nayak. I express my deepest condolences to his family members,” Mr. Naidu said.
In a release, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said the nation would never forget the sacrifice of Murali Naik. The State government would provide all necessary support and assistance to the family, he said.
“Murali Naik bravely fought against the enemy forces on the J&K border. I pray to the almighty to grant peace to his soul,” Mr. Pawan Kalyan said, and added that the young soldier was dedicated to the service of the nation and became a martyr on the battlefield. “I extend my deepest condolences to his parents, Jyothi Bai and Sriram Naik, and the rest of his family,” he said.
HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, in a post on X, said he was deeply saddened by the death of Murali Naik in the battlefield. The bravery and courage shown by Murali Naik was a matter of pride for the State. “Murali Naik’s last rites will be performed with full state honours. We will support his family in every way,” Mr. Lokesh said.
YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his condolences to the family of Murali Naik. Speaking over the phone with the jawan’s parents, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy conveyed his deep sympathy. He said Murali Naik’s supreme sacrifice, laying down his life for the nation’s security, could never be forgotten.

After being repeatedly disrupted for three consecutive days over issues ranging from the Governor’s address and alleged disrespect to the national anthem to demands for the resignation of the Excise Minister, among others, normalcy finally returned to the Legislative Council on Friday, with proceedings commencing.
