Mullah Mohammad Rasool, the leader of a breakaway faction of the Afghan Taliban was released on Wednesday after spending five years behind bars in Pakistan.
The Pakistan government has released Mullah Mohammad Rasool, the leader of a splinter faction of the Afghan Taliban. This development comes days after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan following the collapse of the Ashraf Ghani administration. Mullah Rasool (56) was arrested in March of 2016 in the Baluchistan province on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He spent five years in a Pakistani prison prior to his release on Wednesday.More Related News
