Lata Mangeshkar sent Alka Yagnik voice note telling her to be happy, Babul Supriyo recalls

Babul Supriyo recalled the time Lata Mangeshkar sent a voice note to singer Alka Yagnik on Aaj Tak's special ode to the Nightingale of India - Shradhanjali Tum Mujhe Bhula Na Paoge.
Singer Babul Supriyo revealed that Lata Mangeshkar had sent a voice note to Alka Yagnik during the pandemic asking about her well-being. He was speaking on Aaj Tak's special ode to the Nightingale of India - Shradhanjali Tum Mujhe Bhula Na Paoge. He along with music composer Anu Malik recalled fond memories of Lata Didi.
Speaking about Lata Mangeshkar's warm nature, Babul Supriyo said, "We were having dinner at Lalitji's house. Alkaji made us listen to a recording on phone. Lataji was very active on WhatsApp. She had sent a voice note to Alkaji, telling her to be happy. She said, "I heard that because of Corona, work has reduced in the industry. But don't worry, just be happy. There was so much warmth in her voice, even in that voice note. She was just a warm and caring person."
Lata Mangeshkar was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar attended Lata Didi's final rites. Besides Sachin and Anjali, Shah Rukh Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rahul Vaidya and other eminent personalities paid last respects to Lata Mangeshkar.
