Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung are all set to appear together in Yumi’s Cells 2. The new poster of the upcoming season shows the two in a very adorable way as both their cells meet. The show is based on a popular webtoon by the same name. Yumi’s Cells Season 1 was received well not just in South Korea but also in India.
Yumi’s Cells tells the story of a regular officer worker, Yumi (Kim Go Eun) from the point of view of her many cells that control her thoughts, feelings and action. The dramedy is comical and has a very relatable aspect to it. The first season was also the first K-drama to combine live action and 3D animation. Jinyoung of GOT7 (also seen in The Devil’s Judge) is a new entrant this season and will be seen playing Yumi’s co-worker, Yoo Babi. A previous poster of the show had shown the charming side to both Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung.
A giant cell is seen bringing the two, Yumi and Yoo Babi together in a warm embrace, giving us a hint of what to expect in the upcoming season. The producers of “Yumi’s Cells 2” teased, “The journey of Yumi and Babi growing closer will make viewers’ hearts flutter in a new and different way from Season 1.” They added, “Please look forward to both Yumi’s new cells and Babi’s cells as well. The cells, each and every one of whom has their own distinct personality, will make Yumi’s everyday life even more fun to watch.”
Yumi’s Cells 2 will premiere on June 10, 2022.
