‘KGF’ star Yash gives the biggest update on ‘Toxic’: Release date out

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’, directed by Geetu Mohandas, marks the return of Yash on the big screen after the 2022 blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 2’

Kannada superstar Yash has revealed the release date of his highly-anticipated movie Toxic: A Fairlytale for Grown Ups. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the Kannada-English movie is bankrolled by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.

The film marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the highly-successful KGF: Chapter 2 (2022). The makers had initially fixed the release date as April 10, 2025. However, Yash recently confirmed that the movie’s release has been postponed.

On March 22, 2025 (Saturday), the actor took to social media to announce the new release date. Toxic is set to hit the screens on March 19, 2026. The makers released a new poster to inform the development to fans. In the poster, Yash, who is in an all-black avatar, is seen walking in rain with a gun.

The makers had released a glimpse of the gangster drama on Yash’s birthday (January 08, 2025). The sneak-peek channels the vibe of American gangster films. In it, Yash, dressed in a white suit, fedora and holding a cigar, makes a commanding entry in a club. The sultry ambiance of the joint, pulsating with extravagance, indulgence and sinful soirée, sets the stage for this “Fairy Tale for grown-ups.”

Recently, Hollywood action choreographer JJ Perry shared his experience of working with Yash. The actor called the film a “banger.” American actor Kyle Paul, who is also part of the movie, thanked the team, including the director Geetu Mohandas, for being supportive during the shoot.
