Karan Johar reveals he tried to sabotage Alia Bhatt's casting in Kapoor and Sons

Karan Johan, who launched Alia Bhatt in his film Student of The Year in 2012, revealed that he tried to 'sabotage' the actress's casting in Kapoor & Sons (2016). The filmmaker said that he had a conversation with Alia where he asked her not to do the film as he thought Alia has a small role in the film. Kapoor & Sons featured Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan in lead roles. Directed by Shakun Batra, the film also starred Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles.
