Justice grants bail to Kukkala Vidyasagar accused of false case against actor, involving police officers, in Vijayawada.
Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar of the A.P. High Court (HC) on Monday (December 9, 2024) granted bail to Kukkala Vidyasagar, who allegedly got a false case registered against actor Kadambari Jethwani on charges of forgery and extortion with the support of some police officers earlier this year.
Mr. Vidyasagar is the A-1 in the FIR filed by the Vijayawada city police upon the lodging of a complaint by Ms. Jethwani.
Another judge of the HC had earlier turned down Mr. Vidyasagar’s plea to quash the remand order of the IV Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vijayawada.
IPS officers P.S.R. Anjaneyulu, Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni and two other police officers are the co-accused. They are said to have violated the All India Services (Conduct) Rules in the process of the Mumbai-based-actor’s arrest.

On December 23, the newly elected office bearers of the Anna Nagar Towers Club, led by its president ‘Purasai’ B. Ranganathan, who is a former MLA, met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and conveyed their greetings. According to a press release, besides, ‘Purasai’ B. Ranganathan, the Anna Nagar Towers Club delegation that met Stalin at Anna Arivalayam, the DMK Party headquarters, included vice-president R. Sivakumar, secretary R. Muralibabu, joint secretary D. Manojkumar, treasurer K. Jayachandran and executive committee members N. D. Avinash, K. Kumar, N. R. Madhurakavi, K. Mohan, U. Niranjan, S. Parthasarathi, K. Rajasekar, S. Rajasekar, M. S. Ramesh, R. Satheesh, N. C. Venkatesan and K. Yuvaraj. Karthik Mohan, deputy secretary of DMK’s Information Technology Wing, was present on the occasion.
