American singer and songwriter John Mayer has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of his performance at the Playing in the Sand Festival in Mexico. His band Dead & Company’s official Instagram handle shared the news about Mayer’s diagnosis with fans and followers.
Dead & Company issued a statement on their official Instagram handle which mentioned that before leaving for Mexico, Mayer’s physician informed them about him testing positive for Covid-19. The statement also mentioned that the singer won’t be performing at the upcoming Playing in the Sand event in Riviera Cancun. They also shared the revised list of artists who would be performing at the festival. Playing in the Sand event is scheduled to take place in Mexico from January 7-10.
