In a recent interview, John Abraham said that he will never act on OTT as he considers himself a big screen hero. The actor also said that 'he is not available for Rs 299 or 499 on OTT.’

For fans of John Abraham who want to see him on OTT, there's some bad news for you all. The actor recently expressed his contrasting views on the OTT medium. In a recent chat with a news portal, John shared that although as a producer he would want to make films for the digital medium, he doesn’t see himself as an OTT actor. He revealed that he is not available for Rs 299 or 499, and called himself a 'big screen hero.'

In a conversation with ETimes, John Abraham expressed his thoughts on OTT platforms. He said that, as a producer, he loves the space, and would like to cater to the audience on the platforms. However, as an actor, he is very clear that he wants to be on the silver screen and not on OTT. “I am a big-screen hero and that is where I want to be seen. At this point, I will do films that cater to the big screen. I would find it offensive if someone shut off my film midway on a tablet because they needed to rush to the washroom. Also, I would not like to be available for Rs 299 or 499. I have a problem with it,” John said.

John Abraham was last seen in Attack: Part co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ratna Pathak Shah. The film tanked at the box office despite good word of mouth. Prior to that, John was seen in Satyameva Jayate 2 in double roles, which was also a flop. The actor has also featured in Mumbai Saga with Mahesh Manjrekar and Emraan Hashmi.

John is now shooting for Pathaan with Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan. Pathaan is touted as one of the highly anticipated films of 2023. It will be released in theatres on January 25, 2022. Meanwhile, John Abraham is gearing up for his next film, Ek Villain Returns, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. Directed by Mohit Suri, it is a sequel to the 2014 film Ek Villain. The film will hit theatres on July 29.
