JMI Residential Coaching Academy gives 23 successful UPSC candidates, includes 9 girls: VC

As UPSC topper Shruti Sharma has taken coaching from Jamia Millia Islamia's Residential Coaching Academy, it was a moment of celebration for the institution and so the vice-chancellor went personally to congratulate her.

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) is making rounds on the search engine to train the UPSC topper, Shruti Sharma. A total of twenty-three students, including nine girls from RCA, have been selected for the Civil Services 2021. These students will further get IAS, IPS, IFS, and other central services. RCA-JMI provides free coaching with a hostel facility to minorities, SC/ST, and women candidates.

JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar went to Shruti’s residence to congratulate her and her family members. She was accompanied by JMI Registrar Prof. Nazim Husain Jafri, Hony. Director RCA Prof. Abid Haleem and PRO JMI.

While interacting with the media, Prof. Akhtar said this was a big achievement for not only her but for the university also. She was particularly happy that nine out of twenty-three successful candidates were girls. Prof. Akhtar hoped that this achievement would motivate other students of the centre and would increase their confidence level too. She also conveyed her best wishes to those students who missed the selection after reaching interview level.

Apart from this, Mehak Jain, an alumna of MA Public Administration, Department of Political Science, JMI also cleared the coveted exam and secured 17th rank.
