The Jammu and Kashmir administration will keep the schools and colleges of the region closed till May 31 due to the surge in Covid-19 cases.
The administration of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to shut down the educational institutes in the region, including all the schools and colleges, till May 31 in view of the sudden surge of Covid-19 cases in the union territory in the past month. Earlier last month, Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting regarding the Covid-19 situation in the UT and decided to set several restrictions in place for the safety of the citizens, which included the closure of schools and colleges.
