A woman, slammed for mocking her friend's job as a "pizza delivery agent" in a viral video, has claimed it was scripted as a joke. But social media users aren't convinced.
A woman who was criticised after she mocked her ex-classmate over his alleged profession as a pizza delivery agent in a viral video has now claimed that the incident was scripted and intended as a joke.
Social media users, however, refused to buy it as several argued that the subsequent clarification video itself appeared staged and was released only after the backlash intensified.
On Thursday, a video went viral showing the woman, filming from behind the camera, laughing at a man seated on a scooter. She is seen stopping him on the road and recording him while he is purportedly working as a pizza delivery agent.
The woman identified the man as a former schoolmate who once shared motivational study videos during their school days, before mocking his age and profession. The man appeared visibly embarrassed and responded with an uneasy smile.
As the video went crazy viral, social media users accused the woman of shaming the man for his profession.
Following the criticism, the woman along with her friends and the “pizza delivery agent” shared a clarification video, claiming that the incident was staged. In the video, the woman is heard saying that the man in the clarification video is the same delivery executive whose clip had gone viral earlier.

The profiles of at least three of China's leading nuclear, missile and radar experts were scrubbed from the website of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the country's most prestigious academic body. The aircraft had also been used by senior Iranian officials and military figures for both domestic and international travel, and for coordinating with allied countries, the Israeli military said. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport has resumed flight operations after a temporary suspension of about seven hours caused by a drone strike near a fuel tank facility.
