The man who murdered his girlfriend in Indore admitted to sexually assaulting the corpse. He later searched on YouTube for ways to communicate with spirits.
Chilling details have emerged in the murder of a 24-year-old MBA student by her boyfriend in Indore. Police have revealed that the accused not only strangled her to death but allegedly raped her body, consumed alcohol beside it, stabbed her in the stomach after she died, and later searched online for ways to communicate with spirits.
Investigators say the disturbing sequence of events points to extreme brutality and possible psychological instability.
The accused, who is in police custody, was asked about why he killed his girlfriend. “What had to happen has happened,” the accused responded, showing no remorse.
The victim’s body was recovered on February 13 from a rented flat in the Dwarkapuri area after neighbours complained of a foul smell. When police broke open the door, they found her lying naked on a bed. Rope marks were visible around her neck.
According to police, the accused, identified as Piyush Dhamnodiya, had tied her hands and legs and stuffed plastic into her mouth to prevent her from screaming.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ram Krishnalchandani said the two had known each other for about a year and were in a relationship. The accused was reportedly insecure and frequently quarrelled with her over marriage. He suspected that she spoke to other men and was upset that she was pressuring him to marry her.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
