An Indian-American family’s love for Big B knows no bounds. So much so that they have installed a life-size statue of the Bollywood superstar at their home in Edison City in New Jersey.
We often come across stories where a fan does something out-of-the-box to please the celebrity they idealise or sometimes to get noticed. If you are a fan of Bollywood movies, it is quite impossible that you don’t have a soft corner for Amitabh Bachchan or his films. But, how big a fan are you? This Indian-American family’s love for Big B is so much that they have installed a life-size statue of the Bollywood superstar at their home in Edison City in New Jersey. Yes, you heard that right.
Close to 600 people gathered outside the house of Rinku and Gopi Seth in Edison when the actor’s statue was formally unveiled by community leader Albert Jasani. The statue is placed inside a large glass box. Well, it wasn’t just a simple unveiling event. It was pretty extravagant because it was accompanied by the bursting of fire-crackers and an impromptu dance by members of a fan club.
"He is nothing less than a god to me and my wife," Gopi Seth, who is an internet security engineer, told news agency PTI.
Twitter handle dedicated to Gopi Seth’s family shared pictures from the event. “On Saturday, August 27th we have placed @SrBachchan statue at outside in the front of our new home in Edison NJ USA.
