“Starting today, India hosts the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi,” PM Modi tweeted on Monday morning. “The theme of the Summit is Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya or welfare for all, happiness for all, reflecting our shared commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence for human-centric progress. Thanks to the 1.4 billion people of India, our nation stands at the forefront of the AI transformation.”
As part of the Summit, over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations will be organised across ten arenas, structured according to three themes that India is calling “thematic chakras”. These are People, Planet, and Progress. These themes aim to reflect the broad scope of AI applications, from social improvements to sustainability and scientific advancement.
The total area of the arenas where discussions and sessions are going to take place is 70,000 square metres.

US authorities have arrested Super Micro Computer Co-founder Wally Liaw for allegedly smuggling $2.5 billion worth of Nvidia-powered AI servers to China. The case comes at a time when the US is tightening export rules to stop advanced AI hardware from reaching China amid the growing AI rivalry between the two countries.
