Tata cars to cost more from April 1, here's how much prices will rise
India Today
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited has announced a 0.5% price hike on its ICE car range, effective April 1, 2026, citing rising input costs and ongoing supply pressures across India.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited has today announced a marginal price hike across its internal combustion engine (ICE) passenger vehicle portfolio, effective April 1, 2026. The move comes as the company looks to partially offset the sustained rise in input costs.
In an official statement issued on March 20, 2026, the automaker said the weighted average increase will be around 0.5 percent. However, the exact revision will vary depending on the model and variant.
The latest price adjustment reflects ongoing cost pressures faced by automakers, driven by higher raw material prices and supply chain challenges. Tata Motors noted that the hike is a calibrated step aimed at balancing cost absorption while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
The revision will apply across the company’s ICE lineup, which includes popular models in the hatchback, sedan and SUV segments.
