II PUC annual exams begin February 28, with strict security measures and web-streaming to prevent malpractices across Karnataka.
The first annual examination for II PUC students will be held from February 28 to March 17, at 1,217 examination centres across the State.
On Saturday, Kannada and Arabic exams will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year, a total of 7,10,363 students from 5,174 PU colleges have enrolled for the exam. A total of 2,92,645 students have enrolled for Science stream, 2,11,174 for Commerce and 1,42,982 students for Arts.
To curb malpractices, the Karnataka State Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will be web-streaming all the examination processes.
Tight police security will be maintained at all examination centres. All types of electronic devices, including mobile phones, smart watches, earphones are prohibited inside the examination centers.
Alerted by incidents of miscreants leaking question papers on social media platforms during the preparatory examination a few days ago, the KSEAB has taken steps to conduct the exam with elaborate security arrangements this year. It has instructed the police officials to monitor WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
The use of mobile phones is prohibited for officers and staff involved in security work and examination duty at the centres. Only the superintendent of the examination centre will be allowed to use basic mobile phones without camera facility.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K.R. Nandini directed officials to treat the situation as a priority and ensure that no habitation is left without access to safe drinking water in the coming months. She was presiding over the District Water and Sanitation Committee meeting at the Zilla Panchayat in Mandya on Friday.
