After protests over ICE-related shootings, Trump admin reduces federal agent deployment in Minnesota by 700
Tom Homan, the White House border czar, announced on Wednesday that the Trump administration plans to cut 700 federal immigration agents from Minnesota. This follows Trump's deployment of thousands of armed agents in and around Minneapolis this year, which sparked protests.
Homan explained the partial reduction stems from "unprecedented" cooperation by Minnesota's elected sheriffs, who manage county jails.
