A recent rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the national capital and the national capital regions has become a reason of concern for parents, teachers, and students alike. While the reported infections are mostly in the outskirts of the national capital, extending to national capital regions like Ghaziabad and Noida, the Delhi state government issued a set of guidelines for schools in the state to follow yesterday.
The first few cases in NCR schools were reported in Ghaziabad, which caused some of the affected schools to switch online.
The recent rise in Covid-19 cases reported in schools has once again surfaced fears regarding the continuation of children’s education.
To understand how schools plan to cope with the new developments, India Today spoke to Manju Rana, Director of Schools, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Schools.
Speaking about the schools’ plan to deal with a possible surge in Covid-19, Manju Rana said that schools are adequately prepared to deal with it due to lessons learnt in the last two years.
She said, “All Covid-19 protocols are being strictly followed on school campuses. Limited entry is allowed to visitors. All teachers and staff are fully vaccinated. Students eligible for the Covid-19 jab have been vaccinated as well.”
She further informed that students are regularly reminded of the need to follow Covid-19 protocols via films and other interesting media.
