Honda has expanded its 125cc lineup with the Dio 125 X-Edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition, adding refined styling options while retaining the trusted mechanicals of both popular models.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has expanded its presence in the 125cc segment with the launch of two special editions: the Dio 125 X-Edition and the Shine 125 Limited Edition. Both models focus squarely on visual differentiation, offering buyers a more style-forward alternative while retaining the familiar mechanical packages that have made them popular in the first place. Prices are set at Rs 87,733 for the Dio 125 X-Edition and Rs 86,211 for the Shine 125 Limited Edition (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Dio 125 X-Edition is clearly designed to appeal to younger riders who want their scooter to make a stronger visual statement. Based on the standard Dio 125, the X-Edition remains mechanically unchanged but stands apart with a striking new dual-tone colour scheme. Finished in Pearl Deep Ground Grey and Pearl Siren Blue, the scooter also gets contrasting red alloy wheels and exclusive X-Edition decals, giving it a louder and more expressive personality than the regular model.
Honda says the design draws inspiration from a "cyber drift" theme, and that influence is evident in the sharper graphics and bold colour contrasts. The aim is to position the X-Edition as a scooter for Gen-Z riders and young professionals who value individuality as much as everyday usability.
Underneath the cosmetic updates, the Dio 125 X-Edition continues with the same 123.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 8.3bhp and 10.5Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. The chassis, suspension and braking hardware remain unchanged as well. Feature-wise, the X-Edition gets a TFT display, though Bluetooth connectivity including call and notification alerts remains exclusive to the higher-spec H-Smart variant with keyless ignition.
While the Dio X-Edition goes bold, the Shine 125 Limited Edition takes a far more understated and refined approach. Based on the Disc variant of Honda’s best-selling commuter motorcycle, the Limited Edition focuses on clean surfaces and minimal design changes to deliver a more premium look without altering the bike’s core character.
The most noticeable update is the Pearl Siren Blue paint scheme, paired with revised tank graphics that refresh the Shine’s visual identity. What truly sets the Limited Edition apart, however, are the pyrite brown finished alloy wheels, which add a subtle touch of sophistication. Other familiar elements such as the chrome accents on the headlamp, side panels and exhaust cover have been retained.
