Hindus, Muslims walk together at Ram Navami rally in Bengal

Hindus and Muslims were seen walking together on Sunday at the Ram Navami rally in West Bengal's Murshidabad.
A rally organised by the Bajrang Dal in West Bengal brought together the Hindu and the Muslim communities in Murshidabad district’s Panchthupi village.
The procession was organised to commemorate Ram Navami, the birthday of Ram.
The 500 participants of this rally - Hindus and Muslims - intended to promote the message of secularism and communal harmony.
Debdas Biswas, the officer in-charge of the Burdwan police station, oversaw the proceedings to ensure law and order was maintained.
The development is a significant gesture from the two communities, who have recently been at odds over several issues, such as hijab, halal meat, and azaan in mosques.
