Hina Khan's father Aslam Khan died of a heart attack on April 20. After hearing the news, the actress flew down to Mumbai from Kashmir, where she was shooting for a project with Shaheer Sheikh. On Saturday (April 24), Hina took to social media for the first time after her father's demise. She thanked everyone, who checked in on her and her family during the tough times. She also informed her followers that while she and her family are mourning the loss, she will be off social media for some days and her accounts will be handled by her team for work commitments. Hina Khan released her first statement after the death of her father on her Instagram story. She thanked fans and friends for checking in on her and her family during the tough times. "My beloved father Aslam Khan left for heavenly abode on the 20th April 2021. I am grateful to each one of you for checking in on me and my family during these tough times. While me and my family are mourning the loss, my social media accounts will be handled by my team for upcoming work commitments. Thank you for your support & love," the statement read.
