Ferrari's latest flagship is heading to India. The 849 Testarossa brings four-digit power, hybrid tech and iconic heritage, with prices starting beyond Rs 10 crore.
Ferrari is preparing to bring its new flagship supercar to India. The Ferrari 849 Testarossa will be launched in India by March 2026 with an ex-showroom price starting at Rs 10.37 crore, making it one of the most expensive series-production Ferraris officially sold in the country.
Replacing the SF90 Stradale, the 849 Testarossa sits at the very top of Ferrari’s regular production line-up and will go head-to-head with Lamborghini’s Revuelto in the Indian market. The name carries significant heritage too, reviving the iconic Testarossa badge that has been part of Ferrari’s history since the 1950s.
At the heart of the 849 Testarossa is an evolved version of Ferrari’s plug-in hybrid setup. A 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is paired with three electric motors, two mounted on the front axle and one positioned between the engine and gearbox. The combustion engine alone produces well over 800bhp, while the electric motors push the combined output to around 1,050bhp.
Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari claims a 0–100kmph sprint in just over two seconds, with 200kmph arriving in a little over six seconds. Top speed is rated at more than 330kmph. The 7.45kWh battery also allows for limited all-electric driving, with an EV-only range of up to around 25km under ideal conditions.
Visually, the 849 Testarossa makes no attempt to be subtle. The low, wide stance is paired with sharp surfacing and dramatic aero elements. Up front, L-shaped LED headlamps are linked by a black trim strip across the nose, a clear throwback to classic Ferraris. Large side intakes integrated into the doors and flying buttresses dominate the profile.
The rear is arguably the most striking angle, featuring Ferrari’s distinctive twin-tail design, slim horizontal tail-lamps, a high-mounted exhaust layout and a massive diffuser designed to generate serious downforce at speed.
