Heavy rain lashes Delhi-NCR after days of scorching heat, orange alert issued in Mumbai

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, an orange alert was issued for Mumbai amid heavy rain prediction.
Bringing respite from the humid and hot weather, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning.
In addition to this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted heavy showers in several parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana during the next two hours.
Meanwhile, with Mumbai and its neighbouring areas continuing to witness heavy rainfall, the weather department issued an orange alert for the city.
Amid the downpour, central and western local trains were not affected and were running normally on all lines.
A yellow alert was issued for several districts of Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, Pauri, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh, as heavy showers are expected in these parts during the day, the weather department said.
In the last 24 hours, very heavy rainfall was witnessed in Kedarnath, Haldwani, Pithoragarh, Lansdowne, Didihat, Kiccha and Satpuli and Dehradun.
