HBO keen on collaborating with Aryan Khan after The Ba***ds of Bollywood: Source
India Today
Following the success of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, India Today has learnt exclusively that Aryan Khan has been approached by HBO, which has expressed keen interest in collaborating with the director.
Since its release in September 2025, Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood has steadily built momentum. What started as a sharp, insider perspective on the Hindi film industry soon evolved into one of the most talked-about streaming titles across trade and creator circles. Even as speculation about a possible second season continues to swirl on social media, India Today has exclusively learnt that HBO’s US team has formally reached out to Aryan after watching the show.
According to sources, the network has expressed strong appreciation for the show’s tone and writing, and is keen to explore a collaboration. Sources close to the development told us that the conversation is centred around HBO inviting Aryan to come on board to conceptualise and develop new series for the network. The role being discussed is that of Creative Head and Creative Producer, a position that would place him at the heart of the project’s creative direction. If the collaboration materialises, his on-screen credit would read Creative Producer.
The source continued, “Aryan has not committed to the proposal yet. But he has responded to the network, stating that he would like more clarity on their expectations before taking a call.”
In the past three months alone, he is understood to have received nearly 20 offers, a mix of Indian and US-based studios and executive production houses. While several conversations are ongoing, the HBO approach is being viewed as particularly significant given the scale and positioning of the role.
Earlier, reports had suggested Aryan was working on an official adaptation of the hit series Entourage. However, once he began developing the script and brought an entirely new team on board, the project underwent a significant rewrite. What eventually emerged was The B***ds of Bollywood.
The series features actors Bobby Deol, Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhri, Rajat Bedi, Mona Singh, Gautami Kapoor and others in key roles.
